1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember your preferences and understand how you use the service. SmarTrip uses a minimal number of cookies — only what is necessary for the service to function and to understand basic usage patterns.

3. Cookie Categories
Essential Cookies
These cookies are required for SmarTrip to function. They handle authentication (keeping you signed in), security (preventing attacks), and basic functionality. Without these cookies, the service cannot operate. They cannot be disabled.
Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use SmarTrip — which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and where users drop off. This data helps us improve the product. Analytics cookies are optional and can be declined through our cookie consent banner.
Google Analytics data is anonymized and aggregated. We do not use it to identify individual users. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by GA4: policies.google.com/privacy.
Advertising Cookies
SmarTrip does not use any advertising, retargeting, or tracking cookies. We do not serve ads and do not share your data with advertisers.
4. Managing Cookies
You can manage cookies in several ways:
- Cookie consent banner: When you first visit SmarTrip, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential (analytics) cookies. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your cookies and revisiting the site.
- Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent SmarTrip from functioning correctly.
- Google Analytics opt-out: You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent GA4 from collecting data about your visits.
5. Third-Party Cookies
When you click booking links in your itinerary and are redirected to third-party sites (Booking.com, Skyscanner, etc.), those sites may set their own cookies. We have no control over third-party cookies. Please refer to each booking partner's cookie policy for details.
6. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy as our service evolves. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
